懺悔

今、たった今、虫殺しをしてしまいました。ごめんよぅ

静まり返ったリビングで、


むしゃむしゃむしゃむしゃ．．．さっき水を変えたばかりの花瓶から音がする。


え？何、なに？



そーーーーーっと息を潜んで花びらを覗くと、


私の大事なお花ちゃんの花びらを次から次へとむしゃむしゃむしゃむしゃおいしそうに食べてる大きな毛虫君がいるではないか！！


今午前２時すぎだけど、眠気吹っ飛んだよね。なんでこうも毛虫ってぞわーーーっとするんだろう。
溺愛されるお花ちゃんたち、溺死させられた毛虫君。

世の中不公平なんてきれいごとは言わない。殺したのは私です。
本当にごめんなさい、でもどうしていいかわからなくて思わずピンセットでつかんだ後、花瓶に落としてしまったの！！（>_<）


植物やお花を好きになるにはそれと同じくらい虫に対しても寛容になる覚悟が必要だね。
私の甘い考えで毛虫君を死なせてしまったよ。

あの子はあのまま育ったら蝶になっていたのかなぁ
ああいうときは、そのまま食べさせておくべきなのか？でも花にとっては堪ったもんじゃないよね。体をかじられてるわけで。




がんばって虫の知識ももっと増やそう。蜜の多い花には虫君は付きものだもの。

She's in a merry mood!
The result of changing water from cold to warm did make a difference! Knowing that flowers only drink through the ends of the stems but not from the sides, instead of filling up the water to the top I filled them one third or half max. According to the website, it's better to avoid overcrowding the flowers as it's important to allow enough air to circulate between each flower. Now I have three vase at home :)

My babies 2

We have new flowers at home from yesterday. The flowers look similar to violet but after looking up on the net I realised the leaves quite don't match with the violets. Sorry your *mom* hasn't yet identified who you are exactly, but you sure are a beauty! Again I just bathed them in the cold water and fed them with a block sugar ..boy am I spoiling them or what. The florist usally provide us with their "food" (flowers preservatives) when we purchase them but this time I didn't get any; or she forgot, so I managed to make my own.
As I'm writing this blog, I came across a shocking fact about how to make fresh flowers last longer....

"Fill a plastic bucket a third to half way with warm water. Warm water should be used as flowers take up warm water more readily than cold. "

Oh my good golly gosh, is this for real!!!????? All these years I've been arranging them in cold water.
This is a great example of making assumptions and believing they are the best when they actually may not be!

Hope I won't do this towards the kids at school next time. I will try to arrange them in warm water tomorrow.
I will see how it goes.

My Babies

I believe that flowers are responder. Generally it is said that flowers rely on sunshine and water (rain) to survive; but I have to add another important thing for them to respond. It is affection. When the flowers receive all three of them, they respond by blossoming into gorgeous beauty. I had been feeding my dear flowers everyday with cold water with a cube of sugar mixed inside. When I change water, I take them out one by one from a vase and gently wash the stem of each flower. They are very quiet, but really, more you love them they will respond to you by blossoming into a beauty. My babies are in a good condition for two weeks now.

I wonder.....can human respond the same as well?
