My good friend from high school just gave birth to a healthy baby boy. He arrived on the 22nd November. Japanese love developing a way of using numbers as words, which in turn means that many dates take on special meaning for Japanese people. For instance, November 22 can be read as "ii fuufu" in Japanese which means a "good couple". A lot of people actually follow this superstition and believe that getting married on this particular date will not only bring good luck to the couple, but also make them a very special couple.So, my friend's baby was born on November 22 that's renown for its 'Good Couple' day...I am sending up prayers for my friend's little miracle and wishing her bunches of fun and happiness with him. Congratulations sweetie!
